1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Dream Recall: Dream Journal (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms form an agreement between you and Shankar Dutt, trading through DuttLabs, the developer of Dream Recall.
2. Service Description
Dream Recall is a personal dream journal for recording dreams, organizing entries, reviewing statistics, using on-device analysis, practicing lucid dreaming, syncing with iCloud where available, and exporting journal data when supported by your access level.
3. No Account Requirement
The App does not require a developer account. It uses local device storage and may use your Apple ID for App Store purchases and iCloud sync.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of the dream entries, voice recordings, transcripts, notes, tags, and other content you create in the App. The App processes this content to provide journal, search, sync, export, and analysis features.
You are responsible for keeping your device, Apple ID, and backups secure.
5. Paid Access, Trials, and Billing
Dream Recall requires an active subscription or lifetime purchase for paid access after onboarding and any eligible trial. The App Store displays final pricing, taxes, trial eligibility, and confirmation before purchase.
- Monthly subscription: $4.99/month, with a 7-day free trial when eligible.
- Yearly subscription: $24.99/year, with a 7-day free trial when eligible.
- Lifetime purchase: $49.99 one time. This option has no trial and no recurring renewal.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage, cancel, and restore purchases through your App Store account.
Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's refund policies. We cannot process App Store refunds directly.
6. Analysis and Dream Interpretation
Dream Recall may surface emotions, themes, symbols, and patterns. These features are designed for journaling and self-reflection only. They are not medical, psychological, therapeutic, diagnostic, or sleep health advice.
If recurring dreams, nightmares, sleep disruption, or distress concern you, consult a qualified professional.
7. Lucid Dreaming Tools
The App may include reality check reminders, WBTB alarm support, sleep sounds, and other lucid dreaming tools. Results vary between users. Use these features responsibly, especially if they affect your sleep schedule.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the App, interfere with its operation, attempt to reverse engineer it except as allowed by law, or use it to violate the rights of others.
9. Intellectual Property
The App, website, design, code, artwork, branding, and non-user content are owned by DuttLabs or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal use.
10. Privacy
Your information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
11. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error free, or suitable for every device, language, region, or personal use case.
Dream Recall is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dream Recall, DuttLabs, and the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may stop offering or supporting features where required for legal, technical, platform, or business reasons.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms as the App changes. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
